The FHA offers three two-year courses for students:
Haute Couture: This course aims to train a new generation of couturiers—skilled fashion technicians with hybrid expertise capable of managing both the practical atelier tasks (pattern making, cutting, and garment construction) and the design phase of a garment, from sketching to material selection. Both functions are approached as part of a comprehensive educational path that enriches traditional technical skills with innovative technological elements, bridging the past and future as required by today’s fashion industry.
Theatre, Film, and Procosplay: This course trains students in the production of costumes and accessories for cinema, television, theatre, and cosplay. These creative sectors demand the highest level of ingenuity while requiring strong practical execution skills. Students will gain knowledge of historical and cultural contexts while developing a sharp eye for detail, learning to understand the forms and architectures that define different eras and cultures. Costume design must consider practical needs, budget constraints, durability, sizing flexibility, historical accuracy, symbolic attributes, and iconic values. Increasingly, interaction with technology – both in terms of materials and phygital effects – is crucial. Students can specialize in creating costumes for films, operas, or become professionals in contemporary costume design, including cosplay.
Digital Fashion: The fashion industry has paved the way for digital fashion through the integration of technological tools (e.g., virtual runways and fitting rooms, gamification strategies, chat platforms). This course prepares students to become professionals in digital garment creation. Skills gained will allow students to design clothing and accessories for avatars and virtual characters, a market that is growing rapidly with the increasing presence of AI and a clear focus on the Metaverse. In the physical world, technology also enables fashion to become wearable once again.
The Fashion Heritage Academy will select a maximum of 20 students per professional course (1,600 hours).
