On June 21st<\/strong>, together with its partner NEEEU GmbH<\/strong>, a Berlin-based software house specializing in video game development, we will be attending SightCity in Frankfurt<\/strong>, the world\u2019s largest trade fair for aids and solutions for the blind and visually impaired. It will be a meaningful moment of international exchange, innovation, inclusion, and progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, we will present the project GLEAM \u2013 Game to Learn and Enable Accessibility through Modern Mythology<\/strong> (funded under the Horizon program for the development of the XR4ED platform) to the public and invite both sighted and non-sighted individuals to help us test the first game mechanics identified for the alpha version<\/strong> of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to develop the first core of an inclusive (video)game connected to museums and education<\/strong>, bringing together visually impaired and sighted people around a shared challenge. In doing so, it seeks to bridge these two worlds by integrating technologies such as spatial audio, augmented audio, and tactile stimuli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GLEAM<\/strong> reveals and highlights the hidden connections within Modern Mythology<\/strong>\u2014a powerful language that blends narratives of heroes and superheroes with historical, cultural, and artistic heritage, music and fashion, and childhood memories. The game tells a story deeply rooted in the past yet undeniably tied to today\u2019s idols and myths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to adapt to various spatial environments, the game will be available in 2026<\/strong> for smartphones and tablets<\/strong>, engaging users in museums, schools, universities, or even from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test in Frankfurt<\/strong> is the result of co-design workshops<\/strong> conducted with sighted and non-sighted testers in Rovereto and Turin<\/strong>, in collaboration with MART, Oriente Occidente, Abilnova, the National Cinema Museum, Tactile Vision<\/strong>, and Tiny Bull Studios<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
