Sect. 11 – Superheroes today

What makes Superheroes “modern classics” is the longevity of their image, reproduced year after year in countless forms, from comics to dolls, from action figures to clothing and everyday objects for adults and children. This mass production is similar to that which occurred in ancient times with the images of Greek and Roman deities and heroes, present in everyday life even on everyday objects such as plates, everyday cups, or lamps to illuminate homes.

Immortalized by contemporary artists, cited by politicians, a source of inspiration for those who face new challenges every day, Superheroes accompany us from childhood to adulthood: playmates in children’s dreams, perfect athletes to emulate in sports, motivational role models in the workplace, objects to collect and fashion to wear. A common denominator for a positive and constructive community.
