In a world full of online tutorials, WIG-UP! offers something no video can: real, hands-on contact with people who share your same passion.
During the workshop, you’ll learn cosplay and wig-making techniques under the guidance of Lilo, an experienced instructor ready to answer your questions step by step.
Learning is practical, immersive, and collaborative — you’ll work together, experiment, exchange ideas, and grow as a creative community.
By the end, you won’t just have new skills, but a finished project in your hands: your first (or next) complete short cosplay wig.
The workshop also includes a personalized Q&A session, where you can ask for advice on your individual projects — turning theory and technique into real experience.
Workshop goals
– Learn the techniques for creating a short wig
– Create your own short cosplay wig
Program
WIG-UP! doesn’t require any prior experience and aims to offer a first introduction to the world of cosplay wig-making.
Preparing a wig:
– How to choose the right wig
– How to position it on a mannequin head or proper stand
– How to match the mannequin’s proportions to your own head/face
– Overview of essential tools and how to use them
– How to use a crimping iron
– How to manually backcomb as an alternative to using a crimping iron
– How to divide hair sections — paying attention to proportions
– How to find and follow a visual reference
– Layering and sectioning techniques
– How to shape bangs and locks (cutting, styling, and fixing)

Cost: 220 Euro
The fee includes:
– One short wig (to keep)
– Basic accessories for your wig (pins, headbands, etc.) — yours to keep
– Use of our workshop equipment (combs, hair dryers, straighteners, hairspray, etc.)
– A mannequin head and stand for working comfortably on your wig
The fee does NOT include:
– Travel
– Meals and accommodation in Turin
– Any special accessories for your specific cosplay character (you can bring your own)
