The contest “Your Shop Window, Your Superpower” transforms the streets of Novara and surrounding areas into a large open-air gallery dedicated to the myth of superheroes, involving local businesses, citizens, and visitors in a shared experience of creativity, participation, and visual storytelling.

We invite you to reinvent your shop window by taking inspiration from the great heroes of history, comics, cinema, and television series. Unleash your own creative superpower and transform your commercial space into a place capable of surprising, telling stories, and engaging the public.
On XXX 2026, Fabrizio Modina, curator of the exhibition SUPERHEROES. The Origins of the Myth, will accompany participating shop owners on a special tour of Castello di Novara. The event will provide an opportunity to explore the symbolic power of images, objects, and narratives that shape our collective imagination, offering inspiration for the creation of original and meaningful displays.
On the same day, the contest “Your Shop Window, Your Superpower” will officially begin.
Each participating shop window will be identified through a dedicated QR code, allowing citizens and visitors to vote for their favourite installations. The final evaluation will combine public voting with the contribution of a technical jury, which will assess originality, quality of the design, and the storytelling strength of each project.
With your creativity, and through the universal language of superheroes, Novara can tell its own story as a city where memory, imagination, and innovation come together—where every place, including your shop, can become part of a collective narrative.
