Amano Corpus Animae Opens

The M-Cube Foundation signals Amano Corpus Animae, the new interesting exhibition curated by Lucca Comics & Games at the Fabbrica del Vapore a Milan, dedicated to the 50 years of activity of the visionary Master from Shizuoka.

There are over 130 works from his Tokyo studios, presented in a scenographic layout in four sections, rich in objects and films that tell of the Maestro’s techniques, visions, forms and works.

Over time, Yoshitaka Amano has managed to create a unique link between 20th-century European artistic influences and modern mythologies, building his own identity in the world of contemporary art. His style, characterised by fantasy and evanescent elements, can be found both in the pages of manga and cartoons and in the collections of major international art galleries.

His work ranges from graphic novels, such as Vampire Hunter D and The Sandman, to collaborations with prestigious brands such as Vogue and DC Comics. In addition, the artist has contributed his imagery to iconic video games such as Final Fantasy and famous anime series and animated films from the 1970s and 1980s – from Gatchaman to Yattaman. His illustrations and set designs have also enriched theatre and literature, bringing his art into the homes and imaginations of millions of people worldwide.

13 November 2024 to 1 March 2025.
