WIG-UP is coming!
If you’re a cosplayer, you know exactly what it means to create a wig that faithfully replicates your character’s hairstyle.
And above all — whatever its shape may be… short, long, extra-long, in unnatural colors, or with impossible cuts and gravity-defying forms — you know just how much work it takes. And you also know it’s not always fun and games, especially when your hair seems to challenge the laws of physics!
We know it too! Cosplay wigs are not ready-to-wear — they need to be cut, styled, and fixed to recreate the look we want. Many of us use gel, hairspray, wig glue, or even PVA glue to shape strands and build extreme volume. For more complex work, we also use polystyrene or silicone heads to help maintain the form during styling.
But things don’t always turn out perfectly… and when we put on our wig cap, clips, and double-sided tape to hold everything in place, sometimes we’re still not completely satisfied with the result.
That’s why we’ve invited Lilo, a professional in the field, to help us discover and learn techniques that will make our work easier — just in time for the next events where we’ll embody our favorite characters.
