The challenge

Be faster than Flash… or Mercury!

Our challenge to you is to fly as fast as light itself while carrying an important message inspired by the exhibition Superheroes – The Origins of the Myth: every one of us can overcome our fears and become a superhero in everyday life!

To help spread this message to the world, the first 100 participants to register will receive a red T-shirt with a yellow lightning bolt and a pair of wings to wear on their shoes.
Together, we’ll create a spectacular sight as we race through the streets of Novara! 🙂

How Flash NoVV works

The brisk walk and recreational non-competitive run are open to everyone—adults and children alike.

No special training is required; all you need is a desire to have fun, share the experience, and enjoy being together!

6:30 PM // Show & Tell
Guided visit to the exhibition Superheroes – The Origins of the Myth with curator Fabrizio Modina.
Discover the strength, athleticism, and extraordinary abilities of myths, heroes, and superheroes! 🙂

7:30 PM // Costume-Up & Photo Shoot
We move to the courtyard of Novara Castle to put on our T-shirts and wings, and gather for our first group photo.

8:00 PM // Let’s Go!
We set off together from Castle Square… the whole city is waiting for us!

9:30 PM // We Made It! 🙂

Let’s gather for one big final group photo—all together—to celebrate our super-powered journey through the city.

The route

Start at Piazza Castello, then proceed along Via Benvenuto Cellini and Viale Buonarroti. Turn towards the Police Headquarters (Questura) via Via Giulio Biglieri, then continue straight onto Viale Dante Alighieri.
Take a short stretch of Via Solferino, then turn right onto Via Giuseppe Regaldi and continue until Via XX Settembre. Follow Baluardo Quintino Sella, then continue onto Baluardo Partigiani.
Proceed along Largo San Lorenzo / Baluardo La Marmora, then continue on Baluardo Massimo D’Azeglio, and finally head back up towards the Castle via Via Brera.

Once back at the Castle, we will have completed the first 5 km loop.
At this point, anyone who wishes to continue can proceed for an additional 4 km.

We pass through the Castle and exit towards Piazza dei Martiri, then take the cycle path along Largo Bellini and return to Baluardo Massimo D’Azeglio.
From here, the route follows the same loop as before, but in reverse: Largo San Lorenzo / Baluardo La Marmora, Baluardo Partigiani, Baluardo Quintino Sella. We then take Via Pier Lombardo and go around the Basilica of San Gaudenzio via Via Gaudenzio Ferrari.
Next, we continue onto Corso Cavour and Corso Italia, before returning to Piazza Castello.
